In a major step toward growing the In an industry-wide noteworthy development, Bloomsbury Publishing has named Jaime Leifer as the new Director of Adult Trade Publishing. Leifer has extensive experience working as an editor and as a leader, developing impactful publishing programs and creating significant narratives.
Leifer most recently served as Publisher of Columbia Global Reports and helped develop a global list of books focused on journalism and current affairs. Prior to that, she served as an editor at Hachette Book Group and was responsible for many bestselling titles across a wide variety of genres.
Leifer will focus on the adult trade division, which includes leading all aspects of acquisitions and editorial direction as well as developing the publishing strategy for the adult trade division. As a result of her leadership, Leifer will identify compelling new authors and stories that resonate with contemporary audiences and continue to enhance Bloomsbury's list.
